Teresa Esterle- AIM for Wellbeing
Alliance Integrative Medicine, located in Cincinnati, Ohio, is a multi-provider integrative medicine practice that has been in operation since 1999. The practice describes itself as a nationally recognized leader in integrative medicine and is staffed by a team of medical doctors and other healthcare practitioners. Dr. Teresa Esterle, MD, is one of the physicians on staff; she is a board-certified pediatrician with additional training in integrative and functional medicine who joined the practice in 2017.
The practice is particularly relevant to those navigating environmental illness and chemical sensitivities. Their root-cause framework explicitly identifies toxicity in the home or workplace as an upstream catalyst of chronic illness, and their intake process includes a thorough review of each patient’s environment alongside diet, gut health, stress levels, and medical history. Focus areas include allergies, sensitivities and intolerances, digestive health, chronic fatigue, hormonal and metabolic balance, and immune health. The practice uses functional medicine approaches to distinguish between true allergies, IgG-mediated food sensitivities, and intolerances, and uses specialty lab testing alongside elimination protocols to identify root causes and address underlying gut permeability.
Services include functional medicine consultations, medical acupuncture, Advanced Allergy Therapeutics, chiropractic care and rehabilitation, craniosacral therapy, frequency specific microcurrent, Fotona laser treatments, platelet-rich plasma (PRP), prolotherapy, shockwave therapy, Rolfing, medical massage therapy, nutritional counseling, and health coaching. Specialty lab testing is available and personalized to each patient. Out-of-state patients are required to complete their initial visit with a medical doctor in person; follow-up visits may be conducted by phone or secure video. Out-of-state patients may also establish care with the practice’s registered dietitian and health coach remotely.
Dr. Esterle earned her medical degree from Vanderbilt University, completed her pediatric residency at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center, and holds an Integrative Medicine Fellowship from the Arizona Center of Integrative Medicine. She is also board-certified in acupuncture through UCLA’s Helms Medical Institute and holds a certification from the Institute for Functional Medicine (IFM). Alliance Integrative Medicine does not bill insurance directly, though patients may submit detailed billing summaries to their insurer for potential reimbursement. Most standard lab work is billed directly to insurance by the lab, while some specialty functional medicine testing may not be covered. A free discovery call is available to prospective patients.
