My Chemical Free House
My Chemical-Free House is a healthy building consulting practice run by Corinne Segura, a Building Materials Specifier based in Canada who works with clients in the US. Her consulting services focus specifically on selecting non-toxic building materials for new construction and renovations, with particular expertise in serving clients with chemical sensitivities, mold sensitivities, and extreme environmental sensitivities. She also has experience advising on tiny homes, trailers, and custom shelters built for chemical and mold avoidance.
Corinne’s credentials include certification as an InterNACHI Healthy Homes Inspector and Moisture Intrusion Inspector, a Certificate in Healthier Materials and Sustainable Buildings from Parsons School of Design, and certification as a Building Biology Practitioner through the International Institute of Building Biology. She is also a guest author at Green Building Advisor and a course creator at the Building Biology Institute. She draws on SDS sheets, industry papers, patents, and scientific studies to evaluate materials, as well as nine years of documented experience with the chemically sensitive community. She has personal experience with both mold and chemical sensitivities.
Consultations are available one-on-one and can also be conducted via email. Sessions focus on material selection tailored to the client’s specific sensitivities, needs, and level of toxin avoidance. Corinne also covers brain retraining as an additional topic. Services are remote and available to clients throughout the US.
