Montana Functional Health is a multi-provider functional medicine practice in Missoula, Montana, led by Dr. Heather Maddox, MD, a board-certified family medicine physician who has been providing care since 2003. The team also includes Lindsey Peterson, FNP-C, a board-certified family nurse practitioner; Johnna Sutton, BS, FMCHC, a Functional Medicine Certified Health Coach with a background in holistic nutrition and sustainable agriculture; and Lauren Peterson, MS, RD, LN, a board-certified registered dietitian with a Master of Science in Human Nutrition and Functional Medicine.

Specialty labs used include Doctor’s Data, Genova Diagnostics, Diagnostic Solutions, Great Plains Lab, Labrix, and Precision Analytical. Conditions addressed include digestive issues, hormone imbalance, thyroid disorders, fatigue, and metabolic health, among others. Services include functional medicine consultations, hormone replacement therapy, meal planning, health coaching, skincare and aesthetics, and an online supplement dispensary.

Both in-person and virtual appointments are available. The practice is cash-pay and does not accept insurance, though superbills are provided for patients who wish to seek reimbursement directly from their insurer. HSA and FSA payments are accepted.
