Dr. Linda S. Goggin - Feel Good Functional Medicine
Feel Good Functional Medicine is a multi-provider integrative and functional medicine practice located in Bellingham, Washington, founded by Dr. Linda S. Goggin, MD. Dr. Goggin received her Medical Doctorate from Emory University and has worked across a broad range of clinical settings, from community health to rural family medicine, before opening her own independent practice. The practice team also includes Dr. Sam Lavis, MD, and a registered nurse.
The practice is directly relevant to those dealing with environmentally acquired illness and toxic exposures. Conditions treated include mold and biotoxin illness, Chronic Inflammatory Response Syndrome (CIRS), allergies, chronic fatigue, autoimmune conditions, gut disorders, cognitive decline, thyroid conditions, and mood disorders. The practice states a preference for natural, non-toxic therapies and acknowledges the multi-factorial nature of complex illness. Dr. Goggin has completed training through the Institute for Functional Medicine and received mentorship in mold illness under Ritchie Shoemaker of SurvivingMold.com. She also brings personal experience with unresolved chronic symptoms that conventional medicine could not identify, which informed her transition to functional medicine.
New patients are routinely evaluated for CIRS and mold illness using a questionnaire and vision test, and labs to evaluate for CIRS are often covered by insurance. Additional therapies offered include frequency specific microcurrent (FSM), LDI/LDA, BEMER therapy, and transcranial and topical photobiomodulation. The practice also offers LifeWave phototherapy patches. Services are currently offered entirely online, including initial consultations, follow-up visits, phone consultations, and health coaching, with at-home lab test kits available by mail. Telemedicine availability may vary by state.
Feel Good Functional Medicine does not submit claims to insurance directly but can provide a superbill for potential reimbursement, with the exception of Medicare and Medicaid, for which the practice has opted out. A free discovery consultation is available for prospective patients.
