Dr. Mark A. Breiner - Breiner Whole-Body Health Center

Breiner Whole-Body Health Center is a multi-disciplinary integrative health practice located in Fairfield, Connecticut, founded by Dr. Mark A. Breiner, DDS, FAGD, FIAOMT. The center operates two distinct but complementary practices under one roof: Whole-Body Dentistry and Whole-Body Medicine. Dr. Breiner identifies as both a biological and holistic dentist and has been a long-standing advocate for the view that dental health and systemic health are inseparable. In addition to Dr. Breiner, the center includes naturopathic physicians, an osteopathic physician, and other integrative health practitioners.

The dental side of the practice offers safe mercury amalgam removal, dental materials biocompatibility testing, cavitation treatment, 3D panoramic imaging, electrodermal screening, periodontal treatment, reconstructive dentistry, TMJ treatment, sleep-disordered breathing evaluation (including home sleep studies), a pediatric airway development program (Healthy Start), heavy metal testing, sedation dentistry, and extractions. The medical practice offers naturopathic medicine, clinical nutrition, detoxification, acupuncture, Chinese medicine, cranial osteopathy, hyperbaric oxygen therapy, IV nutrient therapy, colon hydrotherapy, thermography, and additional supportive therapies. The center also operates a brain performance division called The NeuroEdge, which provides neurofeedback and brain health assessments.

Of particular relevance to those concerned with environmental toxins, the practice treats mercury amalgam removal as an extensive clinical process that includes pre-removal toxicity assessment, energetic testing for heavy metals and other toxins (pesticides, chemicals, solvents, mold), evaluation of the body’s excretory capacity, and a carefully scheduled removal protocol designed to minimize mercury vapor exposure. Protective measures during removal include a rubber dam, oxygen mask, high-speed suction, sectioned (rather than ground) amalgam removal, an electric (low-RPM) drill, and air filtration in treatment rooms. Post-removal detoxification support is also offered, including intravenous vitamin C. The practice additionally offers dental materials biocompatibility testing to help patients identify materials that are appropriate for their individual biology.

Dr. Breiner holds a DDS from Temple University School of Dentistry and is a Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry (FAGD) and a Fellow of the International Academy of Oral Medicine and Toxicology (FIAOMT), and is a past president of the IAOMT. He is also a Diplomate of the College of Dentistry of the American Association of Integrative Medicine, and has completed advanced training through the Pankey Institute, as well as in homeopathy, nutrition, TMJ, electrodermal screening, conscious sedation, biomagnetism, and sleep-disordered breathing. The practice sees both adults and children. No mention of virtual consultations or insurance acceptance is made on the website. New and prospective patients can contact the practice through the website at wholebodymed.com or by calling the dental or medical lines directly.
