Shear Karma

Shear Karma is an organic, green, holistic salon located at 2810 Pio Pico Drive in Carlsbad, California. Services include haircuts, blowouts, hair color, highlights (partial and full foils or balayage), keratin treatments, hair extensions, scalp spa and hair treatments, and intuitive massage. All appointments begin with a consultation.

Products used at the salon are non-toxic, vegan, and cruelty-free, and are free of ammonia, parabens, PPD, resorcinol, phthalates, gluten, soy, silicones, sulfates, and synthetic fragrances. The salon is an exclusive Innersense Organic Beauty salon and uses the Innersense Color Purity professional color line. For keratin treatments, the salon uses Cezanne, which is described as hypoallergenic, dermatologist tested, and formulated not to irritate the scalp or release noxious gases.

Shear Karma is a certified California Green Business, described as the first and only certified hair salon in North County San Diego as of April 2023, and is also a certified Green Circle Salon, supporting the recycling and responsible recovery of salon waste. Shear Karma is an in-person salon.
