Earthly Roots Hair Studio

Earthly Roots Hair Studio is a solo hair studio located at 294 N State Street in Concord, New Hampshire, in a stand-alone building described as completely fragrance free. Services include dry haircuts (specializing in curly hair), ammonia-free hair color (single process, double process, highlights, balayage, and corrective color), 100% natural henna hair color, hair treatments (protein, moisture, glossing, and toner), blowouts, styling lessons, brow threading and waxing, and Reiki sessions. Masks are required at all appointments.

The studio is free of ammonia and formaldehyde fumes and is fragrance free. All products are described as non-toxic, organic, vegan, and not tested on animals. Product lines carried include Innersense Organic Beauty and Umanos. The studio owner, Moira Cordelia, became personally sensitized to ammonia and synthetic fragrance chemicals over the course of her career, and switched in 2007 to ammonia-free color and fragrance-free products specifically due to health concerns. Hair clippings are donated to Matter of Trust for use in oil spill cleanup mats.

Earthly Roots specializes in dry cutting techniques and curly hair. The studio also offers a non-toxic lifestyle workshop for clients interested in reducing their chemical exposure. Earthly Roots Hair Studio is an in-person, by-appointment studio.
