Organic Hair Lab

Organic Hair Lab is a full-service salon located at 5213 N. Central Ave. in Phoenix, Arizona. They offer haircuts (including children’s cuts and bang trims), shampoo and style, a full range of color services (including all-over color, root retouch, gloss, partial and full foils, balayage, ombre, hair painting, and color correction), deep conditioning treatments, extensions, and bridal services. All hair services include a shampoo and style.

The salon is built around an explicitly non-toxic philosophy. The hair color they exclusively use is 100% ammonia-free and contains the lowest PPD/PTD levels for permanent hair color on the market. Their color line is Organic Colour Systems, a B Corp certified, ethical, and cruelty-free professional brand developed with human health and the environment in mind. All product lines carried at the salon are organic, vegan, or vegan-friendly, and are either PETA certified, Choose Cruelty-Free certified, or otherwise guaranteed to not support animal testing. The salon also states it does not use harsh chemicals, synthetic cleansers, or synthetic perfumes, and that its building interior was finished with all-natural, plant-based coatings and sealers containing ultra-low VOCs and no “Red List” chemicals.

Organic Hair Lab was certified zero-waste in 2018 and became carbon neutral (carbon positive) in 2021. They are a Green Circle Salon, partnering with Green Circle Salons to recover up to 95% of beauty waste, including hair clippings, foils, and color waste. Consultations are required prior to booking color correction, lightening services, extensions, and bridal appointments. This is an in-person salon.
