Salon Âme

Salon Âme is a collective of independent stylists located at 2705 SE Ash Street in Portland’s Buckman neighborhood. Services include haircuts, root retouch, all-over color, highlights, and balayage. Clients book directly with individual stylists, and the salon is open by appointment Monday through Saturday.

The salon’s backbar products are free of sulfates, PEG/PPG/BGs, artificial colorants, synthetic fragrances, and mineral oil. Product lines used and carried include Oway Organics (eco-sustainable hair treatments with essential oils and biodynamic active ingredients, packaged in 100% recyclable glass and aluminum), Afterworld Organics (lather-free, chemical-free styling products made from simple, natural, earth-based ingredients), and Innersense Organic Beauty (organic ingredients, free of synthetic fragrances and questionable chemistry). Instagram posts also reference the use of Duomo Pro color, described as ammonia-free and fragrance-free.

The salon describes itself as striving to be a sensory-friendly space, and has installed sound-dampening panels to reduce ambient noise. Client reviews mention positive experiences with curly hair. Salon Âme is an in-person salon.
